Description of the property

Villa Can Roig is a traditional Catalan farmhouse dating from the 19th century and consists of 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and capacity for 14 people.

This charming house located in the town of Sant Pere de Ribes includes a free parking space, is less than 1 km from the town center and a few minutes walk from the bus station that goes to a

Barcelona and neighboring towns. Sitges and the sandy beaches are less than 10 minutes away by car and the main highway to Barcelona is only 2 minutes away. As if that were not enough, Barcelona airport is 30 minutes away by car. It couldn't be better connected!

It was recently restored making everything new, but has been exquisitely decorated with period furniture, traditional paintings and Victorian rugs to retain the original character and beauty of yesteryear.

It has the comfort of all modern facilities, such as a fully equipped kitchen, central heating, heated towel rails or ceiling fans in all rooms, without giving up the rustic charm present in every corner of the house. The original exposed wooden beams have been maintained, as have the vaulted ceilings and white walls.

The outside porch has been thoughtfully updated with the same materials used : In total, 16 trunks of large trees have been used to preserve it in the same way it looked a few hundred years ago. It is the perfect place to stay in the shade in the summer with your loved ones, while enjoying a barbecue in the front garden and a refreshing dip in the pool with Jacuzzi.

On the first level, stoneware tiles have been used for the flooring, while upstairs, on the second level, it has been updated with wooden parquet. On the ground floor, there is the main kitchen and the living room with a king-size corner sofa and a dining table that seats 12 people. Includes a flat screen TV and fireplace. The living room has been separated from the dining room by changing the color tone of the walls from white to yellow.

This room oozes charm with the beautiful chandelier hanging above the main table, which in turn is a family antique. On this same floor there is 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with Italian shower, a laundry room with washer and dryer and what used to be the house's cellar. An additional refrigerator has now been included to conveniently keep all beverages within reach. It is the coolest room of all in the house and we have kept the old barrels as tables to hang out with friends and family over a drink. It can also be accessed from the outside.

Following the stairs at the entrance to the second floor, you access the rest of the rooms. All are light and spacious, bathed in sunlight throughout the day. There is a double bedroom with a bathroom and 2 other bedrooms that share a complete bathroom, one with 2 single beds and the other with a double bed. This is the only bathroom with a different shade of blue tile and it is the most elegant. This floor has a hidden surprise: a separate apartment!

The perfect layout for families who vacation together but want to keep a bit of privacy for themselves. This apartment includes a large living room with an open concept kitchen that is fully equipped except for a dishwasher. There is a living room in the same room with a flat screen TV, a double sofa bed and a double bed, so the possibilities are endless. It has been tastefully decorated with a framed print of Michel Angelo's cherubs in "The First Kiss". Take your time to appreciate the small details of this beautiful Catalan country house as all the decoration and furniture have been carefully selected!

This apartment has a separate bedroom with 2 single beds and a full bathroom. All the bathrooms in this rural house have the same accessories: an Italian shower with an exterior window, a large vanity mirror, a sink with plenty of storage space and electric towel rails.

However, to truly appreciate this majestic farmhouse, you will have to look at it from the outside. It has an area of 1,000 square meters dotted with centuries-old olive trees that were saved from an area affected by deforestation. It's a great place for kids to play and adults to hang out. On one side, it has views of the family vineyard and on the other side, the town of Sant Pere de Ribes and the Montgrós mountain; a magical setting within a peaceful environment. While carrying out the renovation, a strong wind blew the carob tree on the land, leaving it mostly uprooted. It survived harsh weather conditions and we proudly keep it to remind us to endure life's tough times.

Check in Time

Check in is at 3 pm. Arrivals after 9 pm have an extra charge of 30 €. Arrivals after midnight have an extra charge of 50 €. Early check in is subject to availability and has to be previously coordinated with the Hospitality Manager.

Check out is at 11 am. Late check out is subject to availability and has to be previously coordinated with the Hospitality Manager.

A photo ID issued by government authorities will be required at check in. A credit card or cash deposit will also be required at check in to cover any incidental.The special requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability at check in, they can incur in extra charges.

Availability

Terms of Payment

A first payment of 30% has to be done to guarantee the reservation.
The remaining balance has to be paid 30 days prior to the check in date.

Taxes and Service Charges

Taxes and Service Charges:10% VAT included. City Tax of 1 € per person per night is included (maximum of 7 nights, children under 16 do not pay).

Security Deposit

The payment of the security deposit is required upon arrival by Credit Card. It will be returned within 7 days after your departure by Credit Card.

Cancellation Policies

The guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. / The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel in the 30 days before arrival.
In case of no show 100% of the total amount of the reservation will be charged.
